The Pecan Delight is my personal favorite, but all the varieties are superior quality. Enjoy the selection of peanut butter cup, mint, toffee, fudge, strawberry and more bite sized chocolate candies. Good treats, yet no pure chocolate bars. Primarily, I want to focus on chocolate candy in this video.
Their primary chocolate sweetener is Stevia. As you can see. The label shows that Maltitol is a leading ingredient in the chocolate portion. Then Maltitol syrup in the fillings. Because Stevia is much more potent by weight than Maltitol, a little does a lot.

Reese’s
Reece’s Sugar-free peanut butter cups.
Weighing in as slightly larger than the Russell Stover’s peanut butter cup, this is a better way to go for your dollar. Sweeter, too. They chose Maltitol as the main sweetening agent.
There are also trace amounts of Sucralose and Polydextrose added to enhance the flavor of the Maltitol. You will find added sweetenings with Maltitol to create a unique taste. It may also help reduce the chance of excess Maltitol acting as a laxative when eaten in large portions.
Also, the process retains a negligible amount of sugars from the milk, peanuts and chocolate sap.
Hershey’s Chocolate
For a true sugar free chocolate bar we easily located the largest chocolate brand. I was surprised that their sugarless was not as sweet as their standard chocolate. I like how maltitol makes it creamy and smooth.
Hershey’s decided to sweeten with Maltitol plus a dash of Maltodextrin. Again, there is a tiny amount of sugar that comes with the milk and the cocoa itself.
It also has Polyglucitol -a Hydrogenated Starch Hydrolysate. Polyglucitol is a natural corn-based sweetener commonly used as the main base sweetener or as a filler.
Hershey’s uses it to maintain the same volume of chocolate with less mass from sugar in their sugar free bars.

Twizzlers
Although it’s not sugar free chocolate, Twizzlers is included here because it represents a category of fruit juice sweetened candy. These are very satisfying for guiltless snacking.
Twizzlers are sweetened with Maltitol syrup and Sorbitol, the alcohol sugar known as Glucitol. It is a slow metabolizing form of glucose.
Another big chocolate brand is Nestle
There’s Nesquick with no added sugar and a 70% dark chocolate Kit Kat bar. Plus these nice sugarless caramels. I find no other option than their regular chocolate bar. Nestle is reported to have sugarless chocolate but not for stores in the USA. They don’t get much shelf space here.
NestlƩ makes a new chocolate entirely from the cocoa fruit. Their formula uses the beans and their pulp as the only ingredients. Whole cocoa fruit sweetening avoids adding refined sugar.
Choc Zero
First of all, I’m glad I found Choc Zero. It’s sweetened with Monk Fruit Juice.
