The White Chocolate Craze Of 2021
White chocolate is showing up everywhere this year. It’s a new flavor craze. Not just because white chocolate tastes wonderfully creamy, but because it takes on additional flavoring really well. This is something that is hard to do with dark chocolate candies. There is still plenty of room for innovative candies that are yet to be dreamed up. They can easily make them with sugarless alternative sweeteners at no loss of flavor, purity, and sweetness.
White Chocolate Is Showing Up All Over Your Favorite Candy Brands
White chocolate is being used as an outer covering, as in the Snickers bar. It can be the candy plus a sugar shell, as in M&Ms. Or it can be more like a candy bar. I am surprised that Ghirardelli, Lindt, and Nestle do not have anything in white chocolate. Nor do most sugarless chocolate brands like ChocoRite and Russel Stover’s.
None of these popular candies are being made in a sugarless version. When it happens, you will probably see it come from Reese’s, Hershey’s and maybe Ghirardelli’s.Ā I expect M&M will come out with a peanut version too.
